Appointed in 2000, Posey teaches Spanish and Latin classes in both the Collegiate Middle and Upper Schools in Richmond, VA.  He is also an adjunct Spanish instructor at Virginia Commonwealth University.  
 
Prior to Collegiate, Posey taught at the Pennington School in Pennington, NJ, where he also taught both Latin and Spanish and additionally served as a dormitory parent and lead chaperone for several international trips.
 
Posey has been selected locally as an "A+ Teacher of the Month" and has served as the editor of PRIMA, a publication for Elementary and Middle School Teacher of Classics under the aegis of the American Classical League.  Posey is currently vice-chair of ETC.
 
In 2000, Posey was selected by the National Endowment for the Humanities to attend a week-long workshop on the integration of technology and the Classics.
 
Posey is a frequent presenter at various conferences throughout the nation and has also served as a curriculum developer, textbook consultant and reader for national exams.
 
Outside of class, Posey enjoys running, bringing new technology into the classroom, scuba diving, crock-pot cooking and traveling abroad.  He currently also coaches both volleyball and softball.
