NEMONE in tanto potuit populo esse, Iuuenti, 1 COULD there not, Juventius, be found in all this people
bellus homo, quem tu diligere inciperes.
2
a pretty fellow whom you might begin to like,
praeterquam iste tuus moribunda ab sede Pisauri 3 besides that friend of yours from the sickly region of Pisaurum,
hospes inaurata palladior statua,
4
paler than a gilded statue,
qui tibi nunc cordi est, quem tu praeponere nobis 5 who now is dear to you, whom you presume to prefer to me,
audes, et nescis quod facinus facias?
6
and know not what a deed you do?
