Uses: This site is ideal for treasure-hunt style assignments exploring the nature of Roman politics and campaigning (see Course Materials Repository for some examples). Pliny's story of the crow is fun in itself and also shows how ancient legends were attached to actual locations. The Rostra can also be used for re-enactments of ancient speeches or trials.
