Roman Meals
This is a model of a Roman
kitchen or culina.
- ientaculum =
breakfast, usually bread and water or wine.
- prandium =
midday meal, usually cold; maybe something left over.
- cena = dinner .
The Romans' most important meal of the day.
- secundae mensae
= dessert course
At first Romans ate in the atrium. Later they made
