youth before his accession as emperor. The inscription reads For Nero
Claudius Drusus Germanicus, consul designate (NERONI CLAVDIO DRVSO GERM.

One of the first precious metal coins struck by Nero upon his
accession as emperor. The inscription reads Agrippina Augusta, wife of
the Divine Claudius, mother of Nero Caesar (AGRIPP. AVG. DIVI CLAVD.
NERONIS CAES. MATER). Nero's inscription appears only on the reverse of the
coin around an oak wreath.
